Jasmine Chavez earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from U.C. Berkeley in 2014. Following her undergraduate, she obtained her paralegal certificate before attending Southwestern Law School, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate degree in 2021, and was honored as a Trial Advocacy Honors Program Advocate. While attending Law School, Ms. Chavez interned for the Complex Child Abuse division with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office and volunteered as a Legal Advocate for the Children’s Rights Clinic. Ms. Chavez was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2022.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Chavez worked as an Accounting Clerk at an Applicant Attorney firm wherein she gained experience in resolving attorney fee issues. Then while attending law school, she worked as a Law Clerk and gained experience filing legal documents including Complaints, Answers, and various Motions, as well as conducting discovery and legal research. Upon admission to the State Bar, she then worked as an Associate Attorney at a private Worker’s Compensation Defense firm where she expanded her knowledge and experience in developing litigation strategies, arguments and defenses, hearing attendance, and settlement negotiations.
Ms. Chavez joined CW Law, LLP in 2022 where her Worker’s Compensation defense experience and know-how will serve her clients well in all phases of litigation, discovery and ultimately settlement.
In her free time, Ms. Chavez enjoys spending time with her family in the outdoors, going for a hike or having a beach day.
